Meet Dr. Hedgecock
Dr. Michelle Hedgecock
Dr. Michelle Hedgecock grew up in the small farming town of Danbury, Texas. She was destined for a career in dentistry, which became apparent when she flourished as a dental assistant during high school. She attended Texas A&M University where she majored in biomedical science with a minor in business. In 2007, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), graduating magna cum laude from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During dental school, she received multiple awards for her achievements in esthetic dentistry. Her passion for transforming patient’s lives by giving them a confident smile continues to be the most rewarding aspect of her dental practice.
Dr. Michelle began her career in a community health center providing dental care to the underserved population of Joplin, Missouri. She moved back to Texas in 2011 and established her private practice in Austin. She believes that learning is a lifelong commitment and continues to expand her knowledge so she can provide the highest quality care for her patients. She received the award for a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, an achievement only 6% of dentists accomplish. She is a graduate of the Kois Center, a post-graduate program located in Seattle, that focuses on comprehensive treatment and excellence in restorative dentistry. Dr. Michelle is also a clinical instructor for 6 Month Smiles, a short-term cosmetic braces system for adults.
Dr. Michelle spends her free time enjoying all that Austin has to offer with her children Jaxon and Charlotte. Some of their favorite things to do are volunteering with their church, swimming, riding bikes, spending time on the water, and playing with their dog Bentley and their cat Pepper.
